Welcome to Charles Lloyd Fitness. The purpose of this website is to help you get in shape, both physically and mentally. First, you must get in shape mentally, because without that, you won’t stand a chance getting in shape physically.

Who this website is for?

I built this website for people who want to get in shape (Physically and mentally) but don’t know which black guy to ask. Think of it as fitness and personal development “edutainment” for smart people.

My writing style is engaging and straight forward; if you want a coat of sugar, glitter and political correctness, then you are about to be disappointed.

My Story
I finally got sick-and-tired of being sick-and-tired! In 2004, while living half way around the planet, I was broke and practically homeless. I knew I was better than my current situation, but I really didn’t know how I was going to get from where I was to where I wanted to be – I just knew I needed to do something, and today was already too late. In retrospect, even though I didn’t know what the hell I was doing, I used what I had, an old Body for Life book by Bill Phillips that I had bought years prior. Seriously, when I started, I could barely do the 10lb tricep extensions while laying on an old futon in my in-laws’ garage in the middle of a rain storm. Now, I can do the 65lb tricep extension while flirting with the 75-year-old white women thirsting for some sexual chocolate.

I got what I wanted because of my persistence, determination and motivation. If you can execute these three things, you hold the key to riches and dreams beyond your imagination – not only mentally and physically, but relational, financially, socially and spiritually. And come on, we all know this isn’t some long-lost forgotten Egyptian hieroglyphics secrets that I’m going to unveil for you for $19.95, it’s the most obvious well-known information – just the facts.

It’s the everyday habits and discipline that determine your future – yes, I said discipline. But if I can do it, so can you! We breathe the same air, get heat from the same sun, and have the same 24 hours in a day.

The general themes of this site are:

  • Fitness – Your increased ability to deal with enormous amounts of stress both mentally and physically. Fitness is a state of mind and being.
  • Nutrition – It is impossible to have increased fitness without proper nutrition. (Only you have control over what you put in your mouth.)
  • Efficiency – Find and execute the most efficient and effective way of improving your fitness and nutrition. (Use what works – ignore the rest.)
  • Accuracy – Our goal is to give only timeless original information, it is also a condition of truth.
  • Intelligence – Like minds attract, if this needs to be explained then. . .
  • Authenticity – Be true to your own character, personality and spirit.
  • Humor (sarcasm) – Quit taking yourself so seriously. You’re probably the funniest person you know!

What is my Secret?

This whole “in shape” thing can be put into four words: Eat Less, Workout More. That is the secret of all the crazy books, diet pills, magazines, and snake oil that plague the marketplace. If you are looking for a shortcut, then I got some good news and bad news for you.

First the bad news: There are no shortcuts, no matter how you slice it there are no short cuts. You cannot eat crap all day, not workout and, expect to get away with it. You know, the definition of insanity – doing the same thing and expecting different results.  NO SHORTCUTS.

Now the good news: There are no shortcuts and working out is fun. If you think otherwise, you have been lied too. How do I know? Well, go anywhere where there are kids and I can pretty much guarantee they are “working out” i.e. playing, running around acting crazy. Running around and acting crazy is ALWAYS fun.

Who works here?

Charles: I am the main writer here so I help you eat less and workout more via this website. I have a couple hundred articles and pages ALL dedicated on how to both how to eat less and workout more.
